The Royal Diaries: Cleopatra VII

004 (2)

The Royal Diaries is a series which is written from the perspective of various royal princess throughout history. The have Marie Antoinette, Native princesses, Elizabeth of England. The books are works of fiction but are written historically accurate and is both informative and interesting. I loved these books when I was little and I think it’s a great for girls in elementary school and middle school because the princess are always kick butt females. I had already read Cleopatra’s story previously and the story is written when she is thirteen and during the turmoil of Egypt rebelling against the royal family. It shows how hard it was to be royal in Egypt because parents and siblings regularly kill each other and the people where extremely displeased with the way they were being ruled. It’s a very good story and a good series.
